Be careful with this tip. I use a lighter and quickly run the flame over the finished wig. It might be a good idea to do this near a sink or at least a dish of water.Nancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712917026828795508.post-62097376833020799962010-11-21T16:12:00.003-05:002010-11-21T16:21:24.955-05:00Tip...beanbag helper<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrF3D_oMWyUsLDEJ8C7Q9g7frAuT3U-PnmjhlMk8YECm7LKweLVr1z97QEaAW4UDBeH43Ui5uwqNcsLp4uMFVCc2XQUiQ9w7Q35JKpSgBDdoidE2j0bd9W0BcNXKI56hqSj056RBiBbcw9/s1600/PB220016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrF3D_oMWyUsLDEJ8C7Q9g7frAuT3U-PnmjhlMk8YECm7LKweLVr1z97QEaAW4UDBeH43Ui5uwqNcsLp4uMFVCc2XQUiQ9w7Q35JKpSgBDdoidE2j0bd9W0BcNXKI56hqSj056RBiBbcw9/s320/PB220016.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEGzY6T-45Kc7D009EagqWS1jHs3N9xdEc9jyo5frEvn2Qvv21vcrbyYO8gNKIoXcsQph-KzlDKaXW2KNksn70XaNtGAViCYgFt9JNFNusyXPaRfv6IKaqVY0OT4OrxuKlrGx_ocEfTJLx/s1600/PB220016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a></div>To make a handy dandy beanbag helper, you will need uncooked beans from the grocery store, opaque panty hose. I used white, but any color you may have on hand will work. You can make the bag any size you want. <br />
1...I cut a length of hose about 5 inch long.<br />
2...Sew one end on your sewing machine or by hand.<br />
3...Turn inside out.<br />
3...Fill with beans, but not too full. You want it squishy so that it will hold things securely. <br />
4...Sew opening on your sewing machine or by hand.<br />
Presto you are done in about 15 minutes or so.<br />
<br />
Uses for the bags. When photographing my dolls I rest my camera on a few bags stacked on top of each other. The bags keep the camera steady, and I can easily and quickly reposition my camera for a different angle shot.This works much better for me then repositioning an awkward tripod.<br />
<br />
On a small Lazy Susan I stack a few bags. Now I have a hands free seat for my doll to sit securely on while I wig her. I can feel comfortable that she is not going to fall off as I turn the Lazy Susan to check out the wigging process from all angles. It also makes for a quick place to stick the corsage<span id="goog_5364112"></span><span id="goog_5364113"></span> pin I use as I style her hair.<br />
<br />
If you can think of any other uses for the handy dandy beanbag helper please share them in the comment section. <br />

FABRIC TAC<br />
<br />
When you buy it make sure it is fresh and that it has not been sitting on the shelf forever. Tip the bottle upside down, a bubble will form. If it take more then 10 seconds to rise, do not buy it.<br />
<br />
I put about 1/3 of the glue into another bottle . Recap the first bottle and do not clip the tip and It will stay fresh longer. I do this will all of the glues I use. Except the glues that come in tubes.<br />
<br />
Get yourself some of those metal tips . Amazon has them sometimes. Buy several and when one becomes clogged remove it and drop it into a small bottle of Acetone. Replace it with a clean tip. Put a pin in the tip and store it upside down in a piece of Styrofoam or a small glass. <br />
<br />
It seems like it takes forever for the glue to get to the tip if you forgot to store the bottle upside down. All you have to do is stand up and swing the bottle over your head 360 degrees , a few times.. This trick works with tube glues and ketchup bottles. Make sure the ketchup bottle cap is secure. Its really hard cleaning ketchup off of the ceiling.<br />
<br />
Got your doll all dressed and you find unwanted glue spots..Test the Acetone on a piece of scrap fabric.If it dose not run, or disintegrate, then put a dab on a Que tip and gently remove the unwanted glue.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>ZAP A GAP<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6HMdnMBfOFGBHGQFfOmZORi44ZKfOsytLz9aTE7sik78a0zsxnQ6BxQEhWhOI4wiayRf3h2rYmCbFfxi-qRcm7NAusal9LgfItB_RiB67wRsA24y1fx2MbFh-3QWco5NgJL7h5Ft0LXLx/s1600/PB170009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6HMdnMBfOFGBHGQFfOmZORi44ZKfOsytLz9aTE7sik78a0zsxnQ6BxQEhWhOI4wiayRf3h2rYmCbFfxi-qRcm7NAusal9LgfItB_RiB67wRsA24y1fx2MbFh-3QWco5NgJL7h5Ft0LXLx/s320/PB170009.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> I love Zap a Gap and use it quite often when working with resin. However this glue can get ya. Be mindful you do not glues your fingers together. Acetone will release your fingers or nail polish remover will also work.<br />
After constantly tipping over, dropping or losing my Zap a Gap I made a stand for it.As my assistant for today is pointing out.<br />
I have found that if I put some Tacky or Fabric Tac on whatever I am gluing and then a drop of Zap A Gap I get a more secure bond and I do not have to the hold the pieces together until the Zap A Gap sets up.<br />
In the picture you can see how I store my Fabric Tac upside down in Styrofoam. In front of that is a small jar of Tacky . On top of that is a small jar of Acetone with my metal tips.<br />
If anyone has a glue tips please email them to me, and I will add them to my blog. I am always looking for new ideas and tips<br />

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the wig just the way you want it and you do not want to lose the freshness of his or her dress.<br />
The answer is the Asian Pear. Well not the pear but the wonderful wrapping that protects the individual pears. It is light weight, reusable, and it is expandable so it accommodates many styles of dress. Lastly it makes a handy Dandy stand for the doll as you wig it.<br />
I have used it here to help me wig my Mad Hatter. Actually its been since July 25 2010. So to get back into the swing of things I thought I would share some tips that I have found helpful and maybe they will be helpful to you too.<br /></div> Today was one of those organize my desk days, since my available workspace was only 2 inches. It took me about 35 minutes to recover about a 2 foot square clear area. Hummm it looks good to me. Then I spotted my three overflowing pincushions. Whew through the years I had accumulated what looked like a ton of pins all stuck into these three pincushions. It occurred to me that I had NEVER organized my pincushions. So I figured what the heck why not. I stared with the white headed long pins. Every other one I pulled out had glue on it. (I use pins to spread glue) . Actually it was starting to annoy me when I worked. It seemed like I would pick up a pin to pin a pattern and it was all funky with glue.It took me a little while to clean these babies up. Then there were the ones that had been run over by the vacuum and were all bent. No saving these pins. I don`t know how they ever made it back to the pincushion in the first place. It was exciting to find a whole stash of those expensive tiny pins that the quilters use. These pins are wonderful for pinning tiny pattern pieces to materials. I love these pins and I thought I would have to buy more because I had so few left. The silk pins, now they are in their own section on the pincushion and easily found when working with silk. I can`t tell you how many sewing needles I found buried out of sight .<br /> So you get the idea, organize your pincushions and you will save time and frustration . The rest of the tip is to keep it organized. Well we will see if I can do that. She was also in attendance at John and Cile`s house for lunch. She and her sister founded AADA Academy of American Doll Artist. Sadly her sister has passed away. I know many of her fellow doll artist have asked me how Joyce is doing. She looks great , her health is great and she has asked my to say hello to all that know and love her.<br />Joyce and her sister were responsible for the next phase in my dollmaking journey. The OOAK (the one of a kind phase.) We had over the years many WOW(week of workshops). We gathered the best of the best teachers and students together and traveled to foreign lands. France , Italy and more. Oh what an exciting time in my life.<br />It was sad indeed when Joyce had to phase out AADA. But as we all know nothing stays the same. We can only savior the memories.<br /> Joyce has moved out of the big Victorian house and into a small comfortable home in Goffstown NH . She is realizing her passion for quilts. She sells on ebay under the name of Quilt Divas. If you have any messages for our friend Joyce leave them on my comment page and I will see she gets them.<br />One last thing about the Burbridge Lunch post. I didn`t get the pictures in the order I wanted. I hope you will bear with me as I learn more about blogging.Nancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712917026828795508.post-34267157415017942722009-07-25T17:03:00.003-04:002009-07-25T17:10:14.734-04:00<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Me and John Burbridge</span><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXUZJkaOOxvU7TD93aPOkOkdK0ggXEtutdNR1sv6cW66X1fDcG7mlIzWt97EMajtstiWVABD_UmvIywDG7TAZl8F5jyrzdNr-CeR-yaorQQJ_k3QT2RgWEyIb87F_MZutkxbdP6ncf1GJM/s1600-h/john+and+nancy+good+one.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXUZJkaOOxvU7TD93aPOkOkdK0ggXEtutdNR1sv6cW66X1fDcG7mlIzWt97EMajtstiWVABD_UmvIywDG7TAZl8F5jyrzdNr-CeR-yaorQQJ_k3QT2RgWEyIb87F_MZutkxbdP6ncf1GJM/s320/john+and+nancy+good+one.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5362506754586380274" border="0" /></a>Nancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712917026828795508.post-54793091064411191942009-07-25T13:46:00.004-04:002009-07-25T16:57:09.547-04:00<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1uHhHAtDdB2jvgQWW6sCq5b3f6mRMwIa-G87I_gSSE0E8OG76XfCaIDIwTkT9lrIzCHD7akBUBMBBN29NFsxXb-umatnL58q5sNJqR3HxDtfm7t1rXzdDk5E59PDF5M538KHGX9oVamQ6/s1600-h/head+shot+white+lady.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1uHhHAtDdB2jvgQWW6sCq5b3f6mRMwIa-G87I_gSSE0E8OG76XfCaIDIwTkT9lrIzCHD7akBUBMBBN29NFsxXb-umatnL58q5sNJqR3HxDtfm7t1rXzdDk5E59PDF5M538KHGX9oVamQ6/s320/head+shot+white+lady.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5362456883956628386"></a>The lady in the white dress. Dawn my daughter and long time friend Joyce Miko were in attendance.<br />After lunch we went to John`s well organized studio. there John shared some of the tools he works with.I was fascinated with the iron he uses. Her website is a must see!!!! http://www.lisalichtenfels.net/<br />During the holiday season of 2005-2006, the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum in Springfield, MA, exhibited the works of Lisa Lichtenfels. Featured were 12 new works, including two life-sized fabric sculptures. There was a large photographic exhibit on the walls with images spanning 20 years of the artist’s career. In-progress displays showed how these realistic figures in nylon fabric were created, including an ongoing video of hands-on instructions. Here is what Lisa said about this sculpture.<br />Lichtenfels fell on the ice last winter and severely damaged one leg.Stuck in bed for a month,in excruciating pain, she had an image of the the Angel of Death. She though. "What would you like to have take you into the next world?" The result is a compassionate otherwordly angel, robed in billowing Chinese silk, the little girl at her side will be enfolded in dark mysterious fabric. I plan to keep this one. I would like to share a link to an artist that is an absolute GENIUS!!! . Give yourself a treat and read everything that is available on Lisa`s website. In my vast collections of books, her book "Figures in Fabric" is by far one of my all time favorites.<br /></div> I have had the pleasure of visiting Lisa at her studio several times and I also went to a gallery in Springfield Ma that had thirty five of Lisa`s figurative sculptures on exhibit . When I look at her art I am awe struck. Each piece has the ability to hold you captive. You would swear you can see them breathing.<br />http://www.lisalichtenfels.net/Nancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712917026828795508.post-54212338187773747742009-06-30T07:37:00.005-04:002009-06-30T14:19:32.099-04:00The Beauty Shop<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht0XwPp46ydEeObMlKgd6q_yhUjZUQNAzGkNDiiLaQ-oRt8_OdZbM8tWY52EPUpi8C5Bw8PSerITjOH18Y6012KylLZaciSVtoFFsc3bx2dvIlpk8Gg6PrucBDqqx1zG2kPCCRyGrLDiLT/s1600-h/Aunt+florence.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 215px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht0XwPp46ydEeObMlKgd6q_yhUjZUQNAzGkNDiiLaQ-oRt8_OdZbM8tWY52EPUpi8C5Bw8PSerITjOH18Y6012KylLZaciSVtoFFsc3bx2dvIlpk8Gg6PrucBDqqx1zG2kPCCRyGrLDiLT/s320/Aunt+florence.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353179047563287458" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6T_gwz_hajFsn3-M3th56cyuJBCPkWtDWROpfKTZwVyMF5yvbwHlGIEuviOpVNonMxCCOMi0zvIHetJEUTymsZY52-D3J_tAefB4uQY6oowoYbI9hyYoNepgpy4p1pi_b0TF175I6_GVO/s1600-h/Bag+Lady.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 191px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6T_gwz_hajFsn3-M3th56cyuJBCPkWtDWROpfKTZwVyMF5yvbwHlGIEuviOpVNonMxCCOMi0zvIHetJEUTymsZY52-D3J_tAefB4uQY6oowoYbI9hyYoNepgpy4p1pi_b0TF175I6_GVO/s320/Bag+Lady.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353178871033031170" border="0" /></a><br /> In the background of the above two pictures you can see where these dolls were created. I owned and operated a beauty shop. I always wanted to keep busy doing something creative. So in my down time I started to make a whole bunch of these fun character. I didn`t need a studio like I have today. My studio today is overflowing with every sculpting tool made by man, pressure pots, vacuum chambers, materials, laces and on and on. If you create you get the picture. All I needed for my baby steps into the wonderful world of dollmaking was a needle and thread. Fiberfill, nylon stocking and a strong desire to create.<br /> As it worked out my customers absolutely loved these little guys. I could not make them fast enough. They sold immediately. My weekly customers looked forward to seeing new dolls and were disappointed if there were none. After a while I decided not to sell them any more. I put shelves up around the shop and the collection grow and grow until there were fifty or more of these dolls. There were joggers ,farmers, nurses, nuns , priest. and of course many witches.You name it I probably made it.Nancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712917026828795508.post-14853986616013285272009-06-30T07:25:00.006-04:002009-06-30T13:31:29.861-04:00More Soft Sculptures<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXOnd5Pe4aOqcbK9DqajAcEKn6j0oVxtjvdRA_X7vobdR0eJcc4es3JAHb-uq5JvcSZwAxOQ5uyNBHam9fU3V2_TATE5CcNiNYJn7pHkDG9nyftFTHKD9eWaPgfghmBI_pWFeS8RjagXEO/s1600-h/Bird+Lady+soft.jpg"> </a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMPvW7c2lYQuQj1rB9H7fcXVog4LJB_MtXrEfF4z38KmxahX4A7YWeApu-auSBfgGDj1Y2FTG7b-LQHByE8uiAs564SgndWNC2W-AIn6pjEmhPwQHrJcRzY2qDBFFSXuGp9Iu6pKh3vxmd/s1600-h/Bride+and+groom+soft.jpg"> <img style="cursor: pointer; width: 215px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMPvW7c2lYQuQj1rB9H7fcXVog4LJB_MtXrEfF4z38KmxahX4A7YWeApu-auSBfgGDj1Y2FTG7b-LQHByE8uiAs564SgndWNC2W-AIn6pjEmhPwQHrJcRzY2qDBFFSXuGp9Iu6pKh3vxmd/s320/Bride+and+groom+soft.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353081135578480658" border="0" /></a> the Newly Wed<br /> <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx0DHDhNPptEmAN0QKELSMDIUGQ4pNDfPxE3J31znT6I_lYbViomzOnJ77aDGFvMr-0vIVoyi87lTCZOHyfFzqAiWeqO_ufwNOv-aCHp8MFpqWBgaZRgwURmPASO3Ub-Ea_vGu3N2ggWjK/s1600-h/Fisherman.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 138px; height: 312px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx0DHDhNPptEmAN0QKELSMDIUGQ4pNDfPxE3J31znT6I_lYbViomzOnJ77aDGFvMr-0vIVoyi87lTCZOHyfFzqAiWeqO_ufwNOv-aCHp8MFpqWBgaZRgwURmPASO3Ub-Ea_vGu3N2ggWjK/s320/Fisherman.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353081135610987730" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLthE7qYkDs0lkkKakunZ96iHl_T61IpKiIvX88lNozmddWUqlkaAU1OTl6TqB4iMnhCwlwJYeeWh7iAaZMsNqwYJsx_892XT-ru4b3rVDkvpJZ1JeZiZVdHzgmUvD8JdiJcYcET8gajkZ/s1600-h/Ribbion+Vender.jpg"> <img style="cursor: pointer; width: 183px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLthE7qYkDs0lkkKakunZ96iHl_T61IpKiIvX88lNozmddWUqlkaAU1OTl6TqB4iMnhCwlwJYeeWh7iAaZMsNqwYJsx_892XT-ru4b3rVDkvpJZ1JeZiZVdHzgmUvD8JdiJcYcET8gajkZ/s320/Ribbion+Vender.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353081132263764642" border="0" /></a>A Ribbon Peddler<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzYvqZ6giQwxjKvWyTcqyl1pNdIg4fJ5Fc5HjnUqfjDWZIioGmZd5LfsV1bK-PFePpl61hYuTDSytXciSsmGYcYxDf6J4pcGN15J-oGpXfZsvxsbhwW_qa3MTOz-Chuv3K-oUGAyG3gLYm/s1600-h/Santa+and+Mrs.jpg"> <img style="cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzYvqZ6giQwxjKvWyTcqyl1pNdIg4fJ5Fc5HjnUqfjDWZIioGmZd5LfsV1bK-PFePpl61hYuTDSytXciSsmGYcYxDf6J4pcGN15J-oGpXfZsvxsbhwW_qa3MTOz-Chuv3K-oUGAyG3gLYm/s320/Santa+and+Mrs.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353081129098275426" border="0" /></a>Mr and MistressNancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712917026828795508.post-9519554313377380962009-06-21T14:28:00.002-04:002009-06-21T14:33:49.602-04:00Me And ET<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfVJ8Y-yVNVb7bXubZsP6fT0Ob25mh3ESwz3d9VevuC5RAjF-s_D5YvNBnB-nu3FPj77VEwnI-UH4hcSmFZ4iHppBOOYqwgOOV_jPKuu1Pn6jSLYIXxIr267arBg8YVk7yO-REZ3IDwIp1/s1600-h/me+and+ET.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 212px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfVJ8Y-yVNVb7bXubZsP6fT0Ob25mh3ESwz3d9VevuC5RAjF-s_D5YvNBnB-nu3FPj77VEwnI-UH4hcSmFZ4iHppBOOYqwgOOV_jPKuu1Pn6jSLYIXxIr267arBg8YVk7yO-REZ3IDwIp1/s320/me+and+ET.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349849954351978738" border="0" /></a>Here is a picture of me and ET. I wanted to see if I could get a likeness and also see how many wrinkles I could make. I made a bunch of him. I still have a head that I made of him. I went a little nuts with him. I put a light in his finger and over his heart.<br /> My sister was a school teacher at the time and she persuaded me to bring him to school so her 3rd graders could meet him. They were overwhelmed with him . There were twenty pairs of little hands touching him all over. He did survive the love he got but he also suffered a bit too. But I am having a bit of a hard time getting them on the blog.</div>Nancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712917026828795508.post-1096663354627474582009-06-20T12:21:00.007-04:002009-06-20T14:54:59.405-04:00My First Doll<div style="text-align: left;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrvihVLvAIpArKtnja40_ae8QcDjiFWuD6k6Sa1JEGWxrxDD-uRN_zdrkhwC6R3BaP3A_HQHMLZD_wCxU9nVlV1aPvTRUmGiV2iETeMFMFDOcNjalJGQVrrbPC47B4yW1Viyx83HcdQQ9B/s1600-h/sc0023845e.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrvihVLvAIpArKtnja40_ae8QcDjiFWuD6k6Sa1JEGWxrxDD-uRN_zdrkhwC6R3BaP3A_HQHMLZD_wCxU9nVlV1aPvTRUmGiV2iETeMFMFDOcNjalJGQVrrbPC47B4yW1Viyx83HcdQQ9B/s320/sc0023845e.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349445895123813778" border="0" /></a> I thought I would give you a giggle or two. Here is my very first attempt at doll making. She was made in 1980 as a gift to my mother. Mom always liked me to make things for her instead of buying gifts. At the time kitchen witches that you hung over your sink for luck were popular.<br /></div>Mom took one look at her and said "she is so ugly can`t you make her pretty". My mother was not being unkind she just always liked pretty dolls. I personally loved this little doll!! Little did I know at the tome she would be the beginning of my doll making journey.<br /> She is a soft needle sculptured doll made from nylon stockings and stuffed with fiber fill. She sits 10 inches tall on her broom.Nancy Croninhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778301298426606835noreply@blogger.com2
